Marburg Primary elects learner leaders

Reps and leaders are, in a sense, assisting the principal and staff and are expected to take their role seriously.

More than 40 learner representatives and eight leaders have been selected for their excellent attendance, discipline, involvement in school activities and ability to lead others at Marburg Primary School.

Leaders must lead by example through exemplary good manners and behaviour says departmental heads, Munniamah Mudaly and Vasanti Kistasamy.

Reps and leaders are, in a sense, assisting the principal and staff and are expected to take their role seriously.
The Student Representative’s role is varied from maintaining discipline in and out of the class, ensuring that grounds are clean, prevent bullying and ensure that school property is not damaged.

A leader’s role is to ensure that the school reps are carrying out their duties diligently. They must essentially be self-confident and assertive at all times.
