PE Primary learners celebrate ‘Palentine’s Day’

Port Edward Primary welcomes Darryl MacKay, as the new Assistant Sports Coach.

It has been a busy and exciting first term so far at Port Edward Primary School (PEPS).

The U11 and U13 cricketers participated in several matches and tournaments, and the squad swimmers took part in a gala at Creston College. For some of our swimmers, many hours of dedicated practise has paid off.

Congratulations to Alina Doré and Emma Burger on obtaining their SKZN colours for swimming, as well as Ange Doré, for being awarded her KZN colours. We are proud of these learners, and wish them well for the remainder of the swimming season.

The school welcomes Darryl MacKay, the new Assistant Sports Coach. We are pleased to have you as part of our team, and wish you a long and happy stay with our PEPS family!

Grade 4 educator, Louise Schmidt, aided by her colleague, Dean Collocott and some eager Grade 4 helpers, encouraged the school to ‘share the love’ and celebrate friendships, by organising a special ‘Palentine’s Day’ celebration. Learners wore Valentines civvies and purchased special balloons, sweets and roses to share with their friends.

Special thanks to Louise Schmidt, for making this fun day such a success!
