Hyundai: Oops, we did it again – only better

Halfway Hyundai has won gold in three different categories.

You could say Britney Spears must have had Halfway Hyundai Port Shepstone in mind when she penned the lyrics for her famous song ‘Oops! I did

it again’.
The dealership has produced the goods, once again, in the Hyundai Automotive South Africa Dealer Excellence Awards, held in the Drakensberg recently.

For the fourth year in succession, it has clinched the coveted Dealer of the Year 2022 in Category B (medium dealerships), of out 38 dealerships nationally.

To top it off, the local dealership also won the Service Dealer of the Year 2022 and Sales Dealer of the Year 2022.
This was an improvement on the previous year, where the dealership earned bronze in the service category.
Dealerships were judged on sales performance, profit, workshop and customer satisfaction.
Dealer Principal, Sicelo Nyandeni, said it was a huge accomplishment. It was an extra special day, too, as the awards were presented on his birthday.

“For me, it comes down to the excellent service we give to our customers. Now the question is what is next, what can I do better for my customers and my team?” he said.

“We are currently working on our next ‘Wow Factor’ to bring a new image to our business park, creating a new experience for our customers. We will also be increasing our sales force, thus contributing to the South Coast economy overall.”

He added that, at Halfway Hyundai Port Shepstone, team is based on respect and was family-oriented, giving customers the best in every department in keeping with the Halfway brand and ethos.

Sales manager, Cya Ntshanga, said the team was ‘on top of the world’.

“It’s been a great experience. I joined Halfway Hyundai as a salesman in 2021. In 2022 I was appointed sales manager. Winning these awards was a collective team effort, with staff contributions from all departments at Hyundai,” he said.

“Our win is without doubt due to passion and knowledge. We have set the bar high and cannot go backwards. We want to make sure we achieve the goals we have set, which will in turn benefit our business as well as our customers.”
