Earlier this month an Umzinto retail store was robbed of clothing, shoes and cash.
Police have since arrested a 37-year-old man linked to the robbery and he is currently behind bars. The suspect will appear in court on October 10 and investigations continue to locate the other perpetrators.
In a separate case, Saps members yielded positive results in the Umzinto policing area when they were able to arrest two suspects, aged 27 and 33, who were found in possession of firearms without a licence.
Another two suspects, aged 34 and 35, were also arrested for possession of heroin. These accused are to remain behind bars and will appear in court next month.
Local police ask that all criminal activities and suspicious behaviour be reported to the nearest police station or Crime Stop on 086 0010111.
