A day after his 18th birthday, Brandon Mitchell, a Grade 11 learner from Suid Natal High was killed in an accident on the N2 near Shelly Beach.
Captain Petros Mpinge said the accident involving a motorbike and a truck occurred yesterday (Wednesday) at about 06:00.
“The young man died on the scene and a culpable homicide case was opened for investigation, to determine the cause of the accident,” he said.
School principal, Jakkie Herbst said Brandon was a good rugby player and a well-liked boy, who took his unique smile everywhere he went.
“He will be missed immensely by his teachers and even more by his friends,” he said.
