Vehicle bursts into flames near Shelly Beach
A mechanical issue is believed to be the cause.
Emergency services responded to a vehicle on fire on the N2 between Shelly Beach and Port Shepstone on Tuesday evening this week.
Luckily the driver escaped unscathed.
It is suspected that a mechanical issue caused the fire.
The driver apparently noticed his engine light coming on and pulled over to the side of the road, where his vehicle burst into flames.
An investigation will be conducted to determine the cause.
Netcare 911 was on the scene, however the man didn’t need treatment.
