Pensioner donates knitted dolls to hospice

The dolls will be sold at local hospice shops.

Maureen Harding, a pensioner from Mtwalume, generously donated hand-knitted dolls to Khanya Hospice in Umkomaas.

The dolls will be sold at R50 each in the local hospice shops, to raise funds for the NGO.

“The children of today are growing up with cellphones in their hands and other electronic devices, and not playing outside,” said Khanya Hospice CEO Neil McDonald.

“We’ve now seen just how fast the little ones grab these dolls, hug them and treasure them. It’s priceless!”

Hospice is always looking for ways to generate an income and individuals or businesses that are able to assist can contact the NGO on 083 5978985 or hospice@khanyahospice.co.za

“A massive thank you for the wonderful dolls, Maureen.”
