Man (30) jailed for child porn

He was found in possession of videos containing child pornography.

Storm Malcolm Andrews (30) was sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court, for possession of child pornography.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Nqobile Gwala said police received information that Andrews was in possession of videos containing child pornography on March 30, 2021.

Detectives from the Provincial Family Violence and Child Protection Unit, Serial and Electronic Crime Investigation section proceeded to Union Street in Uvongo where Andrews was arrested.

“He was found in possession of videos containing child pornography and his cellphone was seized for further investigation,” said Gwala.

A case of possession of child pornography was registered at Margate Saps.

Andrews made several court appearances before he was sentenced.
