Youngster Nkanyiso shows promise after Pro Vision win

Since the inception of this club, friendly wagers amongst selected friends have taken place, all adding to the competitive, yet sporting occasion.

Pro Vision golfers held their second Monthly Mug/League Game at Margate Country Club last Sunday, with 58 players teeing it up.

The fixture was sponsored by Kevin Govender of Lifestyle Furniture, Port Shepstone.

Youngster Nkanyiso Phungula topped the field in this individual Stableford competition on 42 points off his 17 handicap.

Ashoo Singh was second on 39 points, counting out his son-in-law Bupendra Prakash.

Completing the top five were Victor Phungula (Nkanyiso’s father) on 38 points and Kirshan Govender on 37 points.

Kirshan Govender will be in action at the upcoming major volleyball tournament happening in Port Shepstone this weekend.

Nearest the pin: Pravesh Govender (2nd), Victor Phungula (4th), Theuns Boshoff (8th), Wonderboy Nxumalo (11th) and Loyiso Goqwana (16th).

Loyiso was also closest for three on the 18th.

Next fixture is at Port Shepstone Country Club on April 3, sponsored by Dr Virushin Reddy.

The away trip to Prince’s Grant will be on May 28. Those interested can book with Rogers Perumal.
