Genesis social service team visits Hlanganani

To instil life skills and social wellbeing, volunteers from Genesis Hope South Africa visited Hlanganani to carry out voluntary activities of teaching learners life skills.

Hlanganani Preparatory works with local churches and organisations to run sustainable programmes for learners.

This means doing more than merely teaching algebra and science.

Nobody can downplay the importance of good academics however it is not enough without the necessary life skills.

To instil life skills and social wellbeing, volunteers from Genesis Hope South Africa visited Hlanganani to carry out voluntary activities of teaching learners life skills.

They also promised to visit the school weekly (Grade 4 on Tuesday, Grade 5 on Wednesday, Grade 6 on Thursday and Grade 7 on Friday).

Wonderboy Luthuli (school HOD) in his address to the volunteers said, “We are grateful for the energy, enthusiasm and dedication that you bring to our school.

The best present you can give a person is your time, because it is something you can never get back.”
