Ablution block requires rehabilitation

Mayor Sibongile Khathi and ward 13 councillor Siboniso Cele delivered the mobile toilets to the Umzinto community on Sunday afternoon (3rd) and addressed those present during the delivery.

Concerns have been raised by the Umzinto community over the condition of their vandalised ablution block in town.

Umdoni Municipality recently responded to the complaints by bringing in four mobile toilets as an interim intervention while it undertakes supply chain management processes for proper rehabilitation work to be implemented as soon as possible.

Mayor Sibongile Khathi and ward 13 councillor Siboniso Cele delivered the mobile toilets to the Umzinto community on Sunday afternoon (3rd) and addressed those present during the delivery.

“Continuous vandalism of these facilities sets back community development,” said Khathi.
“We plead with the community to refrain from vandalising infrastructure as this becomes wasteful expenditure for the municipality and the repercussion of such acts causes an extreme inconvenience to the users.”

Rehabilitation work is set to commence after the conclusion of all due processes.
