Victim overpowered, undisclosed amount of cash taken in Scottburgh armed robbery

Scottburgh SAPS is investigating a case of armed robbery that occurred in Scottburgh yesterday (December 23).

“It’s alleged that the victim was outside a bank when he was accosted by three men. One of them pointed a firearm at him and demanded that he (the victim) be searched,” said police spokesman, Captain Adam Francis.

“A struggle ensued amongst them and the victim managed to grab the firearm but he was overpowered.”

The suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash in a getaway vehicle.
