Port Shepstone Court finds three guilty of murder

Each received a 15-year sentence.

Sinethemba Bayboy Mjoli (28) was sentenced in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court last week to 15 years’ imprisonment for murder and three years for assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

Mjoli stabbed a man who was getting into a taxi at a filling station in Marburg during 2017.

He was also linked to a case where a man was found stabbed to death in the Port Shepstone CBD during July 2018.

His co-accused, Rabit Lungelo Gumede (24) and Bongumusa Sfiso Gumede (24) were also sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment each.

The investigating officer in both cases, Lieutenant-Colonel Amos Sikhosana was pleased with the convictions.
