Bittersweet goodbyes for four Scottburgh Saps officers

Going into early retirement are Warrant Officers Johanny Enock (39 years'of service), Mickey Boodram (37 years of service), Mvulelwa Samuel Shozi (32 years of service) and Thandelakhe Norman Jiji (27 years of service).

Scottburgh Saps bid farewell to four of its officers on Tuesday afternoon last week.

A small farewell ceremony was held in the station and lockdown protocol was observed.

Station Commander, Colonel Ralph Ruiters, thanked the officers for their positive contributions made in the police service throughout the years, as well as for their dedication, loyalty and long service.

Going into early retirement are Warrant Officers Johanny Enock (39 years of service), Mickey Boodram (37 years of service), Mvulelwa Samuel Shozi (32 years of service) and Thandelakhe Norman Jiji (27 years of service).

At their farewell, the officers thanked their colleagues and management for the many memories made over the years, and gave thanks to God for keeping them safe in their line of duty.

The officers then received certificates and trophies by Lieutenant Colonel Linda Chiliza (Visible Policing Commander), Colonel Ralph Ruiters and Lieutenant Colonel Andreas Lushaba (Detective Commander) for their long service.
