Stolen vehicle recovered by Margate Saps

The vehicle was reported stolen in Lusikisiki in the Eastern Cape in March.

Two men have been arrested by Margate police for being in possession of a stolen vehicle.

The vehicle was reported stolen in Lusikisiki in the Eastern Cape in March.

Warrant Officers Thaphuni Xolo and Sibusisi Ngidi made the arrest after responding to information reportedly received from a security company on patrol regarding a suspicious vehicle at Dumezulu area near Port Edward.

Margate police spokesman, Sergeant Sibu Ncane said the suspects, aged 23 and 25, were being detained at Margate police station pending their appearance in the Ramsgate Magistrate’s Court.

The vehicle has been impounded for further investigations.

Station Commander Brigadier William Slabbert expressed appreciation to all the local security companies who actively support the fight against crime in the area.
