Temporary closure of public facilities in Umdoni due to Covid-19

Umdoni Municipality has implemented precautionary measures to prohibit the spread of the coronavirus by temporarily closing all its public facilities from now until April 15.

“This period may be extended for the duration of the national state of disaster as declared by President Cyril Ramaphosa recently,” said Umdoni Municipality’s communications manager, Sphelele Cele.

“While it may be an inconvenience to locals and holidaymakers over the Easter season, such measures became necessary as the health of the people is a priority.”
