Horrific crash claims life
The accident occurred on the R61 near Port Edward this morning.
A MAN died and three others were seriously injured in a collision involving two vehicles on the R61 near Port Edward today.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the wreckage obstructing the roadway.
Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said some of the injured were still trapped in their vehicles.
Firemen used the jaws of life to free the injured. After the patients were stabilised at the scene, paramedics transported them to various hospitals for the care they required.
Further details on the collision are awaited from police spokesman Captain Gerald Mfeka.
