Tuning In: Fabulous show packs a powerful punch

The show reminded audiences that we are all African and need to celebrate this daily by recognising that we live in a melting pot of races, cultures, languages, religions and traditions.

CONGRATULATIONS to Sue McAlpine and her hardworking team of Umkomaas Primary School staff and pupils for last week’s thought-provoking production entitled ‘Rainbow National Celebration – a tribute to all things South African’.

We need to respect this and be proudly South African. What a fabulous show of colour, music and talent galore. Well done.

Travelling along the golf course road behind a car with an NX registration last Saturday, it was shameful to see the occupant/s happily roll down the window to toss some garbage out. Shame on you.

Bookings are open for the UMPAC variety show ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’ at the Italian Club in Umkomaas on October 26 and 27.

The Saturday evening performance starts at 8pm and the Sunday is a matinee show from 3pm.

Tickets are R60 per person. Bring your own food, but no beverages as there is a cash bar. Contact Carol-Ann at 082-7660198 and book early to avoid disappointment.

Grateful thanks to Sanjay Maharaj, who has offered to fill in the hole in Dolphin Drive. The Pennington community are such a kind, caring bunch.
