Jai Hind believes in giving back

Cans of food were handed over to Bread of Heaven ambassadors.

Pupils and staff at Jai Hind Primary have always promoted giving back to the community.

A large amount of peanut butter and jam was collected as part of the school’s charity drive.

At a special assembly last week, cans of food were handed over to Bread of Heaven ambassadors Jo Naidoo and Gordon Michael.

The organisation provides sandwiches for under-privileged pupils.

In her address, Jo Naidoo highlighted the organisation’s need for community support and sincerely thanked everyone for their generous contributions.

A memorial service for Kethukuthula Mjweni was held last week.

The service was attended by the Mjweni family, principals from other schools, members of the clergy, the governing body, staff and pupils of Jai Hind Primary.

The school thanks all those who assisted with the memorial service.
