Body recovered from river at Batstone’s Drift
An inquest has been opened for investigation.
Police together with Ray Nkonyeni Municipality, Fire Department were called out to Batstone’s Drift, low level bridge last Saturday to recover a body from the Umzimkhulu River.

Police spokesman, Sergeant Sibu Ncane said an inquest has been opened for investigation at Port Shepstone Saps.
“A post mortem examination will be carried out to establish the cause of death,” said Sgt Ncane.
