A public holiday on Wednesday, May 8 – a very important day where we get to have a say in our country. To not vote means no moaning or complaining – just suck it up!

We had some rain last week and there are a number of areas and folk who were badly affected. One area, in particular, was Club Marina in Ifafa. Any donations of towels, bedding, toiletries, food, clothing etcetera to be left at the offices of the Mid South Coast Mail.

Pennington also took a hard knock when the road near the Penvalley Estate entrance was washed away.

Eddie Baptie advised that it has taken a lot of effort to construct a bypass with the help of a local contractor and resident. please note that the road will remain closed until authorisation is received from the Department of Transport to open it. The public will need to exercise patience and act responsibly in this matter.
