Fun format provides new challenge at Southbroom GC
The course is in great condition.
THERE was an interesting change of format at Southbroom Golf Club last Wednesday.
It was a case of combined Stableford, with the better ball of A and B added to the better ball of C and D.

Winners were Shirley Jeffery, Jo Ledden, Janet Humphrey and Ursula Spoerri on 77 points, followed by Liz Fertacz, Heather Anderson, Di Morris and Heleen Hissey on 72 pts
In the men’s competition, winners were Van Zyl Greyling, Dane Adendorff, Derek and Connor James on 82 points.
Runners-up were Craig Treherne, Christer Solgevik, Leon van Schalkwyk and Russell Mackenzie on 80 points.
The Casa Toscana BB Stableford was won on 41 points by Hannah Hierhold and Lesley Godley, one ahead of Allyson Thomas and Jo Ledden.
In the men’s section, winners were Mike and Gary Lig on 47 points, followed by Elvy Fosse and Colin Cozens on 43 points.
In the Chicken Run, birds were claimed by Chris Miller 20 points, John Pinnoy 18 points, André Ollewagen, Colin McKay, Pieter Wolmarans and Norman Jeffery, all on 17 points.
