UPDATE: Domestic argument leads to murder in Pumula

An arrest has been made.

Police spokesman, Captain Petros Mpinge said Southport detectives are investigating the incident, which occurred at the couple’s home in 8th Avenue at around 6.45pm.

“It is alleged that the 48-year-old man and his wife (36) became involved in a heated argument during which she threw a knife at him, which struck him in the back of the left thigh, causing him to collapse and he bled to death.

“The woman was arrested and will be charged with murder,” he said. “She will remain in police custody until her appearance in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court on Monday, March 4.”

SATURDAY, MARCH 2: 8AM

A man has died after an argument with his wife in their Pumula home last night (Friday).

According to Med-Eva paramedics, it appeared as if the woman threw a knife at her husband, hitting him in the leg.

An artery was apparently severed, and the man (48) bled to death.

The woman was arrested.

An official statement and confirmation is awaited from the police.
