Sarel snags a snake in Fairview
Sarel used his endoscope to look into a hollow brick to find the mamba.
Snake catcher, Sarel van der Merwe and his friend, Ivan Martin travelled to Fairview in Umzume last Saturday to help residents who had spotted a green mamba.

The snake had slithered into a hollow brick, under the roof sheet of their outdoor toilet.
Sarel used his endoscope to look into the brick and informed them that they would have to remove the roof in order for him to be able to get to the snake.
While they were moving the roof Sarel found a tailless whip scorpion, also known as a whip spider, which is harmless to humans.
