Jesse aces the 8th at Port Shepstone Country Club

It's monthly medal this Saturday (5th), a nice way to get things rolling for the new year.

Jesse Verster rounded off 2018 in fine style with a hole-in-one on the 8th hole at Port Shepstone Country Club in the last Saturday competition for the year.

He used a 6-iron to achive this feat on the 155m hole, and now has three aces to his collection.

It wasn’t good enough to help him win the competition with that honour going to Alec Ahrens and Vern Vlok on 43 points.

Runners-up were Dave Mee and Lionel Peters, on a countout from Gary Vogt and Basil King.

The previous Wednesday’s competition was won on 46 points by Mark Smith and George Bowie.

Four points adrift were Carl Grobler and Martin Strauss, on a countout from Roger Loring and a pivot.
