High five at Tweni tennis club
There's a buzz at the club most Saturday afternoons.
It is absolutely awesome to have five courts in action most weeks at Umtentweni Tennis Club and last Saturday was no exception.
A tricky wind changed a lot of shots but everyone thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.
Cathy Barker, despite not being a hundred percent health-wise, produced lots of different sweet treats as well as savouries, but the ‘pièce de résistance’ was a delicious lemon cheesecake.
Thank you, Cathy, for all the trouble you took to make Colin’s duty day great and members wish you a speedy recovery.
The most closely contested set was between Mervyn Tarboton and Chloe Dutton playing against Keith Gatley and Jean Marx with the latter pair emerging the victors after being 40-0 down in the last game. It’s not over till the fat lady sings!
It was good to have Chris Polinski at tennis on Wednesday and Morgan Reddy back on the court on Saturday and members hope to see them both more regularly.
