Swift arrest in rape case

The girl was dragged into the sugar cane fields where she was raped.

A MAN who raped an 11-old-year girl in Trafalgar last Saturday has been arrested.

Margate police detectives worked long hours to arrest the 22-year-old man in the Mbhokobhoko Location near Margate.

Police spokesman Captain Gerald Mfeka said the mother of the victim was informed by her son that his sister had been raped while walking home.

“The boy alleged that a man dragged his sister into the sugar cane fields where he raped her,” Lieutenant-Colonel Wilfred Mkwindana, Detective Lieutenant Mbongeni Cele and Warrant Officer Trevor Moodley arrested the man last Sunday.
