Take your pets for their FREE annual rabies jabs – where and when

All pet owners are urged to have their animals vaccinated against this killer disease.

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Agriculture and Environmental Affairs will conduct free rabies vaccination clinics for local pets over the next few weeks.

Themba Maluleke, spokesman for the regional office of the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Agriculture and Environmental Affairs urged local pet owners to make use of the free clinics to have their pets vaccinated against the killer disease. He pointed out that many people in South Africa died agonising deaths after being bitten by rabid dogs.

Clinics will be held on the following dates:

Monday, February 19:

Port Edward Library from 8.30am to 12.30pm and Nicholson Garage from 1.30pm to 3pm.

Tuesday, February 20:

Glenmore Supermarket from 8.30am to 10.30am, Munster Protection Services from 11am to 12.30pm and Greenhart Supermarket from 1.30pm to 3pm.

Wednesday, February 21:

Seventh Heaven Superette Café from 8.30am to 10.30am, Marina Beach Library from 10.30am to 12.30pm and Impenjati Town Board Office from 1.30pm to 2pm.

Thursday, February 22:

Ramsgate beach parking from 8.30am to noon and Mzimela Centre, Margate Extension 3 from 1pm to 2.30pm.

Friday, February 23:

Margate Hibiscus Mall from 8.30am to noon and New Life Ministries Church from 1pm to 3pm.

Monday, February 26:

Uvongo Civic Centre from 8.30am to 11.30am and Shelly Beach Library and Clinic from 12.30pm to 2.30pm.

Tuesday, February 27:

The old state vet office, Oslo Beach from 8.30am to 11.30am and Port Shepstone Borough Grounds from 12.30pm to 2.30pm.

Wednesday, February 28:

Allbersville White City Hall from 8.30am to 11.30am and Woodpecker cul-de-sac from 12.30pm to 2.30pm.

Thursday, March 1:

Singh’s Store, Lions Grove from 8.30am to 11.30am and Solly’s Store, Lions Grove from 12.30pm and 2.30pm.

Friday, March 2:

Marburg Library from 8.30am to noon and Merlewood DSB office from 1pm to 2pm.

Monday, March 5:

Southport beach parking area from 8.30am to noon.

Tuesday, March 6:

Hibberdene Library from 8.30am to 1pm.

Wednesday, March 7:

Umtentweni Town Hall from 8.30am to noon and Sea Park Alfred Evans Hall from 1pm to 3pm.

Thursday, March 8:

Melville beach parking from 8.30am to 10am; St Anne’s church, Umzumbe (former Moth Hall) from 10.30am to noon and Mtwalume Post Office from 1pm to 3pm.
