Blood drive kicks off at Port Shepstone High

Every unit of blood can save up to three lives.

Auditions for the annual Port Shepstone High school play production took place and a top group of performers are ready to start rehearsing for ‘Mamma Mia’ which will be presented this May.

The school’s first blood donor drive took place last week and it was wonderfully encouraging to see some pupils giving blood for the very first time, as well as seeing the regular, dependable donors.

Every unit of blood can save up to three lives as blood is separated into red blood cells, plasma and platelets.

Luca Weber was awarded a bronze certificate for his participation in the ‘President’s Award’ programme last year.

Sport is in full swing at the school.
