Tuesday Rostrum starts the year laughing

Versatile Frank Graham will be the first Tuesday Rostrum guest speaker.

MULTI-talented South African entertainer Frank Graham will start the Tuesday Rostrum year on a high note, as guest speaker at the February meeting.

This takes place at Mbango on Tuesday, February 13 at noon. Guests – men as well as women – are welcome. To book, contact Denise Millar at 039 3172600.

A versatile veteran of radio, stage, film and television, Frank is also a master of ceremonies, comedian and raconteur. He has hosted promotions and corporate functions at venues such as Sun City and the Wild Coast Sun Hotel and Casino Resort. Described by critics at the finest comedian in the country he is sure to provide Tuesday Rostrum members and guests with plenty of laughs.

Frank has also acted in many films and television series and his stage involvement has included diverse productions for The Playhouse and Themi Venturas Productions. He received a Vita Award in 1994 for his portrayal of Polonius in the Playhouse’s highly acclaimed production of Hamlet.

His more recent roles include involvement in the Barnyard Theatre’s smash hit ‘Boogie Wonderland’, and Colonel Pickering in the Playhouse’s lavish production of ‘My Fair Lady’, a supporting role that earned earning him another award.

He recently starred in the Sneddon Theatre’s ‘The Guitar that Rocked the World’.

In 2013 he appeared in West Side Story at the Playhouse and has been nominated for best solo performance for his sell-out show, ‘The Golden Days of Springbok Radio’.

This is not surprising. His radio career spanned 25 years and he took part in countless plays, serials and series. With Tom Meehan, he acted in popular comedies like ‘The Men from the Ministry’, ‘Father Dear Father’ and ‘Friends and Neighbours’.

His career as a voice artist has seen him recording hundreds of radio and television commercials in both English and Africans. Making people laugh is his greatest joy.
