Thanks for making our beach safe

Enforcing the law has made it safe and a pleasure to go to the beach once again.

DEAR Editor,-

We have a beachfront property in Hibberdene and for the past seven years we have been unable to go to the beach without having to confront drunken mobs mocking us, littering, urinating and even having sex on the beach, totally naked, with no sense of shame. This carried on for years without anyone doing anything about it, making it unsafe to spend time on the beach.

This past December however, Gladiator Security, together with the authorities, patrolled the beach, enforced the law, made it safe and a pleasure to go to the beach and enjoy family time without having to worry about crime, broken bottles,  shameless behaviour and drunken troublemakers.

A big thank you must be extended to owner Braam Swanepoel, his committed guards and the super quick response team of Gladiator Security, Col  Mlungisi Ndwalane of the Hibberdene SAPS and Devlyn Abbott of the Hibiscus Coast Municipality Law Enforcement for making our beach at Hibberdene safe again, ensuring that tourists will again return to our beautiful town and enjoy our beautiful beach.
