Raj Naganna finds top tennis form ahead of USA trip

He's living the tennis dream.

RAJ Naganna of Umtentweni Tennis Club won the Boland Seniors Tennis Tournament at Strand Tennis Club last weekend.

Playing in the 70 plus age group, he beat the number two seed Rusty Clement in the final in three sets, 6-0, 4-6, 6-0.

In the mixed doubles he came third, with partner Arista Steenkamp, while in the men’s doubles he and Dan Dimitriu managed fourth place.

Raj will be encouraged by his form as he prepares to play in a world seniors tournament in Orlando, Florida.

He leaves for the States on October 5 and will return on October 19.

In regular Umtentweni Tennis Club news, resurfaced courts will be officially ‘opened’ for play this Saturday (30th) at 2pm.

There’ll be a champagne toast and official ribbon cutting.
