HELEEN Hissey, Augustine D’Ewes and Jeanne Powell won the popular Ann’s Scramble at Southbroom Golf Club last Wednesday.
They scored nett 55, to pip Shelley Myers, Julie Walker and Lorraine Cook, who had 55.6.
Matthew brothers Derrik and Bruce won the men’s comp on 50 points, three ahead of Charlie Watt and Gary Purtell.
In third place on 45 points were Geoff Skelton and Colin Steyn.
The Casa Toscana comp last Saturday saw Candida Amm and Sandy Fitzgerald benefit from the countout after carding 42 points.
Not so fortunate were Rene Matthew and Eileen Neilson, as well as Lorraine Cook and Julie Walker.
Ross McKay and Bob Thomas won the men’s comp on 50 points, two clear of Johan Wentzel and Riaan Croukamp.
Third spot went to Nic van Deventer and Brian Brasher on 47 points.
In Handicap League action, Southbroom beat Umdoni Park 8-4.
Southbroom’s team consisted of Kevin Murray, Errol Rudman, Malcolm Greenland, Osie Osborne, Derick Zolyomi, Don Osbourn, Keagan Burton and Scott Ovenstone.
