Forewarned is forearmed about drug abuse at Port Shepstone High

Speakers told of the risks of experimenting and submitting to peer pressure, which always ends in tragedy and loss.

SHEPPIE High’s TADA (Teenagers Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse) awareness week took place last week.

The committee invited speakers from the South Coast Recovery Centre to share their experiences and, more importantly, to instil in pupils that prevention is better than cure.

Informative meetings were held throughout the week and everyone walked away armed with the knowledge and a clearer understanding of the dangers of substance abuse.

Speakers provided invaluable insight into the risk of experimenting and submitting to peer pressure, which almost always ended in tragedy and loss.
