The Herald sat down for an exclusive interview with Tender, following her amazing performance.

She says during her audition everything seemed ‘unreal in a good way’.

“I was overwhelmed and to me the entire audition was the highlight. I was in a moment.”

Tender says this time she wants to do things right.

“I’ve tried three times before and this time around I am willing to make it work.”

When asked how she feels about being on such a big competition, she said it’s scary, but encouraging words and advice from the coaches help her to be a little less nervous. She also says she is trying to stay as confident as possible.

“I keep telling myself that I am The Voice SA 2017, I am the voice of the country and I have so many stories to tell.”

The vocalist says her music is all about love, emotions, achievements and nothing but laughter.

“People should relate to my music, and know that they are never alone,” she says.

What you probably don’t know is that Tender has a three-year-old daughter, Naledi, who, she says, has changed her  for the better. She also says she is the new version of herself and fans can expect a lot from her.
