Pregnant woman dies in blaze
The cause of the fire is not yet known and investigations are continuing.
A PREGNANT woman died after the shack in which she was living caught fire in KwaMasinenge informal settlement last Saturday.
Firefighters responded to the emergency call at about 4pm and when they arrived at the scene they found a large shack on fire.
It was established that she had died before firefighters arrived on the scene.
The fire was prevented from spreading to other shacks. The cause of the fire is not yet known and investigations are continuing.
Police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka said the woman was burnt beyond recognition.
