Child (5) raped by uncle
The man was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment.
AN uncle who was left to look after his five-year-old niece at their home in Ezimangweni Ward, Louisiana on March 7, raped her while her mother was away.
The Port Shepstone Regional Court heard that when the child’s 21-year-old mother arrived home, she and noticed that her brother’s trouser zip was undone and her little girl’s underwear pulled down.
The mother took the child to hospital where it was confirmed that she had been raped.
The victim’s 23-year-old uncle was arrested, tried and convicted of rape. He was handed a life sentence.
