Update: Death toll rises in Hibberdene horror crash
Three people have now lost their lives.
UPDATE
The horror crash this morning has claimed the life of another woman, who has died in hospital.
The family was apparently travelling home to Gauteng when the accident happened.
The driver of the other vehicle was travelling to the Eastern Cape.
He died at the scene.
Police are investigating.

TWO people were killed in a three-vehicle collision on the N2 in Hibberdene earlier this morning.
A teenage girl, thought to be between 13 and 15 years old, was declared dead at the scene by a Netcare911 paramedic.
The driver of one of the vehicles was also declared dead on the scene.
Athlenda Mathe, spokesman for Netcare 911, said that three people – including the grandmother and grandfather of the teenage girl, and the driver of another vehicle were treated on scene before being taken to hospital.
Reports from the scene indicate that the grandmother is in a critical condition while the grandfather sustained minor injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries.
