Woman seriously injured in Tweni crash
A bakkie and a taxi collided at the Rethman Drive traffic lights last night.
SIXTEEN people were injured when a taxi and a bakkie collided at the Rethman Drive traffic lights in Umtentweni last night.
A woman is reported to have been seriously injured in the crash.
According to spokesman for Kwazulu Private Ambulance Belinda Catchpole, emergency services arrived at the scene just before 6pm. “It is believed that the bakkie was T-boned by taxi at the traffic lights,” she said.
The injured were transported to various hospitals in the area for further treatment. An official statement is awaited from the police.
It is believed that the woman was taken to a Durban hospital.
Police are investigating.
