PSSP hosts winter sports day

Marlise Booyens and Gwen Marnitz from the Lower South Coast SPCA addressed pupils on pet welfare.

FIFTEEN local schools converged on PSSP last Saturday to take part in the annual winter sports day. The fields were turned into a hive of activity, filled with fun and action. Pupils from all schools did very well and thoroughly enjoyed their matches. A big thank you goes to all coaches and team managers for the hard work and time put into preparing teams for this event.

The junior girls’ hockey team had a busy week last week. They travelled to Southcity College last Monday and to Margate Primary last Wednesday. Although they were not victorious, they thoroughly enjoyed both occasions.

Representatives Marlise Booyens and Gwen Marnitz from the Lower South Coast SPCA were welcomed to the junior assembly last Friday. As part of the ‘Family Welfare’ theme, pupils enjoyed an interesting presentation on the importance of pet welfare.
