DEAR Editor,-
I have an ‘eagle’s view’ over Marine Drive, Margate, close to the Margate Hotel. Every day I see prostitutes everywhere, drug deals taking place and the police just drive past. These criminal elements are few, whereas Margate residents are many, so why can’t residents stand together and get the scum off our streets?
Just a thought – is it legal for residents to photograph the men who pick these prostitutes up and/or their car registrations for publication? If it is, I will get a night vision camera and send in loads of photos.
Oh, and another thing – prostitutes and drug dealers are always present at the ATMs next to the Margate Hotel and surely the police can make a plan and get rid of them? At least that will be a start.
Drug dealers walk the street as if they know the cops won’t do anything to them. They hand the drugs over to the prostitutes, get high and make a noise in the middle of the night because they are so high.
Come on, surely something can be done? Somebody please come up with a plan that will work and residents will back you all the way.
