Six suspected house robbers arrested
The robbers are between 18 and 30 years of age and will be charged for possession of suspected stolen property.
SIX men have been arrested and detectives will investigate whether these suspects were involved in a spate of housebreakings occurring in Uvongo.
During a special raid operation held on Wednesday, a detective team from Margate SAPS, arrested the men who had various items which is believed to be stolen property, in their possession. The operation was conducted in Nkampini, near Margate. “A number of flat-screen TV’s laptops, DVD players, cellphones, speakers, an Ipad, and Ipad dock,
clothing and other household items were recovered, ” said police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid. The detectives will now investigate whether these suspects were involved in the spate of housebreakings occurring in the Uvongo area recently. They are between 18 and 30 years of age and will be charged for possession of suspected stolen property and will appear in Ramsgate Court today. The Station Commander of Margate SAPS, Colonel Sipho Thabethe congratulated the members for the excellent breakthrough.
