Child (7) raped
A 15-year-old has been charged with sexually assaulting the young girl.
A SEVEN-year-old girl was raped at KwaNyuswa, Izingolweni, last Sunday.
Police said that the child’s 15-year-old neighbour saw her buying chips at a local tuck shop.
“He asked where she had got the money. When she said she had received it from another neighbour, the teen allegedly raped her,” said police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka.
The neighbour contacted the mother and reported the incident to the police who arrested the suspect.
He was charged and appeared at the Izingolweni Court on Tuesday this week.
The case was postponed for further investigation.
