South Coast bodybuilding is ‘on fire’
Six athletes have been chosen to represent KwaZulu-Natal at the South African Bodybuilding Championships.
THE South Coast is on fire … these were the words uttered by a judge at the 2015 NABBA/WFF KZN provincial bodybuilding championships held in Durban last week Thursday.
The South Coast athletes went up against impressive and imposing line-ups and covered themselves in glory.
Jared Read took first place in the Men’s Class 2 division, as well as winning the overall division.
Sinethemba Mfeka impressed the judges and was placed first in the Athletic Performance division.
Vicky Segone came second the Men’s Class 4 division.
Shannon Walton was third in the fitness bikini (short class) division, with Vanessa Cook in fourth place in the same division.
Ninine Grove placed third in the beach bikini division.
These athletes have all been chosen to represent the province at the South African National Championships to be held at Sibaya Casino on October 10.
Charlene Dannler also competed in the fitness bikini (tall class) division and while she didn’t place, her condition was excellent.
Kim Neilson, owner of Superbodies Gym Margate, was thrilled with the results.
“For a small coastal town to have so many competitors representing their province at a national show, and to have the overall winner from the South Coast is almost unheard of. As a gym we are exceptionally proud of our athletes,” she said.
