Marburg father accused of raping daughter (11)

AN 11-year-old girl is no longer a child after her innocence was stolen, reportedly by her father.

This came to light yesterday when Detective Sergeant Shaun Pillay from the Port Shepstone Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit (FCS) arrested the Marburg man.

“The child reported the incident to a neighbour, who then told police. It is alleged that he had sexual intercourse with the child in August and then, at a later date, sexually assaulted her as well,” said police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.

The man will be charged with rape and sexual assault and will appear in court tomorrow (Wednesday).
