Sedibeng to host Easter Soccer Tournaments

The winner will walk away with R 13 000 prize money.

SEDIBENG.- It is that time of the year when the local soccer fans will flock to the townships’ dusty soccer grounds for the Easter Soccer Tournament.

Every year at this time of the year, there are soccer tournaments taking place all over Sedibeng.

Some of the tournaments that the local soccer fans are looking forward to watching include the UK Soccer Tournament which is known for attracting soccer fans. This tournament takes place at the UK soccer ground in Zone 7.

The tournament starts this weekend with teams all over Sedibeng and outside battling for prize money.

Apart from the UK Soccer Tournament, there will also be another Easter Top 8 Soccer Tournament scheduled to take place at the James and Pepsi dusty soccer grounds in Phelandaba in Sharpeville.

Moyene Mbatha is one of the local soccer fans who will enjoy the soccer tournaments this weekend.

This annual tournament starts at the weekend.

The tournament will start in a group stage format with the top two teams in each group advancing to the semi-finals scheduled to take place on Easter Monday.

The winner will walk away with R 13 000 prize money, the runner-ups will pocket R 5 000 and 3rd placed R 2 000. The following teams will compete against each other for prize money, Time Change FC, Jealous Down FC, Man United FC, Giant Birds FC, Govendors FC, Inkabi FC, Big Five FC, and Shield FC.
