The CB500X will get the job done

The CB500X may just be the perfect commuter bike and counter for the ever-increasing fuel price, so it might be worth your time to take it for a test ride at your nearest Honda dealership.

The new CB500X offers a fanfareless crossover adventure ride that will not disappoint mid-range biker fans.

“It slips between the role of short hop commuter to weekend tourer effortlessly,” said Honda.

Having proved its popularity for over nearly a decade, the 2022 year model receives high- quality front suspension in the form of Showa 41mm SFFBP USD forks, plus dual front discs, a lightweight swingarm, redesigned front wheel and other detail updates, including a striking new colour and bold new graphics.

Other changes include revised fuel injection settings, a new lighter radiator and dual Nissin radial mount two piston calipers biting 296mm discs.

LCD instruments feature a shift up and gear position function. All lighting is LED, with optimised high/low headlight beam and the addition of front indicator position lights.

Handling has been improved by the redesigned, lighter swingarm. In line with the dynamic improvements to the chassis and suspension, the braking performance has also been improved.

The CB500X wears an aggressive, ready-for-the-wild adventure style. A slim seat profile allows for free movement around the machine and aids easy ground reach.
