Weekend viewing

We’ve roundup three edge-of-your-seat thrilling movies to watch this weekend.

Your eyes will be glued to the screen, palms wrapped around your seat and the adrenaline will pump. Enjoy!

Friar is a former hacker and IT expert who finds a hair-trigger bomb strapped to his desk chair. An unseen hacker orders him to steal digital funds online — or have his daughter abducted. As a fearless bomb expert arrives on the scene, the hacker frames Friar as the bomber. Hot Seat is now showing at a cinema near you.

The Gray Man is CIA operative Court Gentry, aka, Sierra Six. Plucked from a federal penitentiary and recruited by his handler, Donald Fitzroy, Gentry was once a highly-skilled, Agency-sanctioned merchant of death. But now the tables have turned and Six is the target, hunted across the globe by Lloyd Hansen, a former cohort at the CIA, who will stop at nothing to take him out. Agent Dani Miranda has his back. He’ll need it. Watch it on Netflix.

Knox and Tracey have driven from Detroit with their labradoodle to assume ownership of the beachfront property left behind by the troubled mother he was estranged from. There’s been a fire, so the place is a damaged mess, if still structurally sound. Fortunately, Knox is a contractor, so with the help of some locally-drafted personnel, they plan to do the renovating themselves — then sell the modest but enviably situated place for a fortune that can bankroll their future in some less-pricey zip code. What they don’t realize for a while is that they’ve also inherited a “guest” who lives below the house among the stilts that bear up its spectacular-sunset-view deck. Paradise Cove is on Showmax.
