Two suspects in possession of Nyaope worth R20 000 arrested during operation

Acting Sedibeng District Commissioner Brigadier Pule Mokoena recently led  operation "O kae Molao"  which yielded success recently in Orange Farm.

ORANGE FARM. –  Officers of the law who joined in the operation carried out their duties with diligence and high esteem, enforcing the law and ensuring that perpetrators of crime are brought to book. .

Police spokesperson Constable Shaan Motsapi says, “Two suspects were arrested for dealing in Nyaope worth a street value of R20 000, five suspects were arrested for dealing in Dagga,  four suspects were arrested for dealing in drugs,  two people were arrested for being undocumented and 13 motorists were issued with fines for contravening the the Road Traffic Act.”

Motsapi adds that police managed to confiscate illicit cigarettes and seized a firearm from the lawful owner in terms of section 102 of the firearm act.

“All the arrested people will make an appearance in court soon. The high visibility and police presence presents a red flag to criminals, showing that their turf is becoming minimal in the area.”
