Supa Quick has upped the stakes within the undercar service industry

It has just launched its mobile van project.

The pilot project, launched in November and around the areas of Bedfordview, offered customers a tyre repair, wheel alignment and other minor services at their homes or places of work.

“The Covid-19 pandemic has forced us to reconsider how we deliver to our customers, who might be concerned about their safety,” says Kerry Albertyn.

“We have seen more people reluctant to venture out and expose themselves to the virus, so we are offering to come to where they are.

Also, with people around the country bound to their homes for weeks, we have seen cases of cars stranded in yards due to maintenance issues such as flat tyres, old batteries and brake issues,” says Kerry.

The mobile van fitment centre, equipped with a card machine for payment, operates Mondays to Fridays, between from 08:00 to 16:00, and on Saturdays between 08:00 and 13:00.

Supa Quick confirmed that the van has, to date, served about five customers per day and that in time, the service will be extended across the country.

“In the world of social distancing and the convenience that the digital economy has led consumers to expect, we anticipate that the mobile van project will establish a new best-practice approach to servicing customers in our sector.”
